As the Financial Controller at Presail, you will be entrusted with overseeing all financial operations within the company, providing crucial support to the management team. This role is key to ensuring the CEO can allocate their focus on strategic initiatives, confident in the knowledge that financial matters are being expertly managed. You will play a pivotal role in the company's financial health, offering insights and recommendations to guide decision-making processes.

Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of financial tasks, including payroll, pension, insurance, and expense management for both Norwegian and remote employees. You will lead financial closing and consolidation processes, manage invoices, oversee the transfer of on-chain assets to the bank, and serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing forecasts, budgeting, and reporting as needed. Additionally, you will manage relationships with external accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in our financial reporting, and oversee applications to government incentive programs such as Skattefunn.

What you’ll do

Here are some examples of the challenges the Presail team has on its plate that you may be working on:

• Own and manage payroll, pension, insurance, and expense management for employees in Norway and remotely.
• Lead the financial closing and consolidation processes.
• Manage invoices and the transfer of on-chain assets to the bank.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, delivering critical forecasts, budgeting, and reporting.
• Assist in addressing accounting queries on an ad-hoc basis.
• Maintain contact with external accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage financial reporting tasks and applications to government incentive programs such as Skattefunn.

What you’ll need

The person we are looking for:

• Organized and detail-oriented with a pixel-perfect approach to financial management.
• A coachable individual who values learning and growth in their professional journey.
• Precise in execution, ensuring accuracy in all financial operations.
• Reliable, with a proven track record of dependability in managing financial responsibilities.

You should have:

• 3+ years of experience working as a Financial Controller
• Excellent Excel skills
• Experience running the monthly closing and consolidation processes
• Fluent in Norwegian, verbally and in writing.
